Miniconvention On monday, 28th of September within the frame work of the 5th intern. Convention on Natural Swimming Ponds in the Kurhaus of Merano takes place a mini-convention with start at 2.30 pm. Matters like legislation, sanitation, design and care of near to nature bathing waters are going to be treated in the form of lectures designed for the South Tyrolean reality. Lecturers are experts of bureaus and alliances of South Tyrol (Agency for sanitation, microbiological laboratory, association of hoteliers and restaurateurs HGV). The mini-convention with its contents is ardessed to representatives of gastronomy (all South Tyrolean vacation-offerers like hoteliers, agritourism, campsite-owners) and South Tyrolean comunes with a touristical focus. Obviously there are also invited all interested and swimming-pond freaks to learn about the basics of swimming ponds. The convention languages are German and Italian.
Through the events conducts the Italian garden architect and swimming-pond designer Anja Werner. Ø 14:45 Anja Werner: Basics about swimming ponds, general introduction Ø 15:00 Evelin Schieder: HGV legal advice: legislation for planning an constructing a swimming pond Ø 15:20 Dr. Alberta Stenico, microbiological laboratory of Bolzano: swimming pond water hygiene Ø 15:45 coffe break Ø 16:00 personal reports and experiences in the public and private sector o Carlo Ravelli, Mayor of Monclassico, reports about the first public swimming pond in Italy (in italian) o Franz Hinteregger, hotelier and committed citizen of his hometown Luson, reports about the pulic swimming pond in Luson and about his own one o William Conti speaks about his experiences with his private swimming pond Ø 17:00 Panel discussion between audience and speakers conducted by President Anja Werner Parallel to the Convention takes place a Fair with its main stress on swimming ponds. The inauguration of the Fair is at 5.30 pm subsequent to the mini-convention. All mini-convention participants are invited to do the first official tour through the fair halls Participation fee for the mini-convention amounts 30,00.-€.
